SIEGENIA, a century-old German enterprise, specializes in providing high-quality hardware for doors and windows, ventilation systems, and residential fresh air systems. These products are widely used to improve indoor air quality, enhance comfort, and promote health. As part of its integrated solution for residential ventilation system control and installation, SIEGENIA incorporates Tongdy’s G01-CO2 and G02-VOC indoor air quality monitors to enable intelligent air management.
G01-CO2 Monitor: Monitors indoor carbon dioxide (CO2) levels in real-time.
G02-VOC Monitor: Detects volatile organic compounds (VOC) concentrations indoors.
These devices integrate directly with the ventilation system, dynamically adjusting air exchange rates based on real-time data to maintain a healthy indoor environment.
Integration of Air Quality Monitors with Ventilation Systems
Data Transmission and Control
The monitors continuously track air quality parameters such as CO2 and VOC levels and transmit the data through digital or analog signals to a data collector. The data collector forwards this information to a central controller, which uses sensor data and preset thresholds to regulate the ventilation system's operation, including fan activation and air volume adjustment, to keep air quality within the desired range.
Trigger Mechanisms
When the monitored data reaches user-defined thresholds, trigger points initiate linked actions, executing rules to address specific events. For example, if CO2 levels exceed a set limit, the monitor sends a signal to the central controller, prompting the ventilation system to introduce fresh air to reduce CO2 levels.
Intelligent Control
The air quality monitoring system works with the ventilation system to provide real-time feedback. Based on this data, the ventilation system automatically adjusts its operation, such as increasing or reducing air exchange rates, to maintain optimal indoor air quality.
Energy Efficiency and Automation
Through this integration, the ventilation system adjusts airflow based on actual air quality needs, balancing energy savings with maintaining good air quality.
Application Scenarios
The G01-CO2 and G02-VOC monitors support multiple output formats: switch signals for controlling ventilation devices, 0–10V/4–20mA linear output, and RS495 interfaces for transmitting real-time data to control systems. These systems use a combination of parameters and settings to allow flexible system adjustments.
High-sensitivity and Accurate Air Quality Monitors
G01-CO2 Monitor: Tracks indoor CO2 concentration, temperature, and humidity in real-time.
G02-VOC Monitor: Monitors VOCs (including aldehydes, benzene, ammonia, and other harmful gases), as well as temperature and humidity.
Both monitors are simple to use and versatile, supporting wall-mounted or desktop installations. They are suitable for various indoor environments, such as residences, offices, and meeting rooms. In addition to providing real-time monitoring, the devices offer on-site control capabilities, fulfilling automation and energy-saving requirements.
A Healthier and Fresher Indoor Environment
By combining SIEGENIA’s advanced residential ventilation systems with Tongdy’s cutting-edge air quality monitoring technology, users enjoy a healthier and fresher indoor environment. The intelligent design of the control and installation solutions ensures easy management of indoor air quality, keeping the indoor environment consistently in an ideal state.
